69-73 Torino
Benefiting from the Mustang’s success, Torino was the clever re-branding of the Fairlane. Muscle car versions were less expensive than comparably equipped Mustangs attracting go-fast guys on a budget. Like all midsize coupes of this era, the Torino got heavier and slower as the years went on. Early versions were still greatly overshadowed by Mustangs. A special “Talladega” version featured aerodynamic tweaks for NASCAR
